The Apology

We've all seen the handwritten letter & we have all heard the contents read out loud at least several times by now. A-Rod apologizes. If I am interpreting his letter, with cynicism like most thinking humans on this planet, to me it says: I'm only sorry for getting caught using PED's & I want my $61 million from the Yankees. Period. Some things you can't come back from. Mitt Romney can't come back from his comments about people receiving government assistance being deadbeats. Ray Rice can't come back from the video of beating his girl friend, now wife. And A-Rod can't come back from repeated denials of PED use, a la Lance Armstrong, he can't come back from a suit against MLB, he can't come back from a suit against his own Players Association & he can't come back from a suit against the Yankees. A-Rod needs to go away from baseball for good. Maybe spring training will prove to be too much for his drug-riddled body & he won't be able to physically perform. Like most fans, let me say again that I am skeptical of his apology. A long time ago my boss always told me to follow the money. Apply my boss's thought to this apology - it's about $61 million. Nothing else.
