Pete Carroll & Grady Little
In 2003 Grady Little left Pedro in instead of taking him out. We all know how that decision turned out. In 2015 Pete Carroll calls a pass play instead of a running play on the 1 yard line. There wasn't even a play fake to Lynch. We now know how that decision turned out too. Grady was never able to come back as an MLB manager after his fatal decision & he was fired. It remains to be seen what happens to Pete Carroll. Reaction a day later had not calmed down over the stupidity of that particular play selection & his explanation to "waste" a play made no sense. Kind of like Grady saying I'd make the same decision to leave Pedro in again. Dissention among Seattle players was rampant. Not one football analyst could defend the play call. Professional coaches need to stand the heat for every decision they make. That's why Belichick is so good - he makes critical changes on the fly, in-game, & his changes typically work. Good luck, Pete, living this one down. You will have this monkey on your back the rest of your coaching career - which may be shortened now.
