Pete Carroll - Dunce Hat
One play. One call by his offensive coordinator. One audible perhaps by his young QB. Whoever called the play, Pete Carroll took responsibility. He gets to wear the dunce hat for allowing a Super Bowl win to escape on one dumb play. A team built on power running by "Mr. Shout Out" Marshawn Lynch decides to throw a 1-yard pass instead of pound the ball into the end zone. Even if it wasn't his call, Carroll still had the option to overrule his coordinator. So now the head coach has to live with it. Chances of Seattle getting another Super Bowl title - 1 in 30. No team stays at the top very long. Ask the Patriots, a perennial playoff team, & it took them 10 years between rings to win another. Lynch may be gone next year. The Legion of Boom is getting older. The Seattle persona of tough guys is getting old. And now that they are not winning Super Bowls look for fans, their vaunted 12th man, to demand changes.
