JBJ Looking for Bounce Back Year
2 years ago Jackie Bradley was the rising star out of spring training, starting game 1 in Yankee Stadium. Last year he was the heir apparent to CF after Jacoby Ellsbury moved to the Bronx. It didn't work out well. Now JBJ is at Jet Blue Park getting ready for another spring training. WEEI reports that Bradley added 8 pounds of muscle & weighs in at 200 pounds now. He is a Gold Glove outfielder on defense. His offense let him down big time last year & he is ready to solve his offensive woes from 2014 this year. The Red Sox need left-handed bats & Bradley is still young enough to figure it out. With Hanley Ramirez in LF & Rusney Castillo ready to play CF or RF JBJ enters a crowd of players for the last OF spot. Victorino, Craig, Nava, Betts to name a few. If Jackie shows he can handle the bat, even a .250 BA would do it, he can help the Red Sox or another team. JBJ has had success at ever level of play. No reason to think that he will not be successful in the bigs. Just a question of when & if the Red Sox can wait.
