Will Ben Get A #1 Before April 6th?

Blake Swihart. Xander Bogaerts. Mookie Betts. Henry Owens. Brock Holt. Those are the types of players that the Red Sox would have to give up if they were to trade for a #1 pitcher right now. Ruben Amaro is asking way too much for Cole Hamels. And Washington continues to dangle Jordan Zimmermann & Doug Fister. If we only knew... Will Porcello emerge as a #1? Will Buchholz regain his dominating form & hold up for an entire season? Will Wade Miley rebound to his earlier form? Can Joe Kelly emerge as a consistent starter? Can Justin Masterson revert to form after an injury-plagued year? Can Renaudo, Workman & Barnes take a step forward? Lots of questions. We certainly have strength of numbers, but can quantity yield quality? Maybe Ben wants to see if this staff can hold the fort for 3 months until the trade deadline in July when a Zimmermann or Price or Greinke may cost a lot less to pick up. I guess time will tell.
