Sox Sign Ogando, Britton Assigned

Alexi Ogando was signed by the Red Sox to a 1-year contract to add bullpen depth. After an injury-plagued 2014 the former all-star Ogando is looking to rebound as a late-innings option for John Farrell. Good depth move by Ben. To make room for Ogando Drake Britton was designated for assignment. Lefty Britton just never had a steady run of success at the big league level. I'm sure another team will pick him up - if for no other reason than he's a lefty. A change of scenery might do him well. Good luck Drake!
