Butler Odd Man Out

Craig Breslow is in. Dan Butler is out, designated for assignment. Butler could get picked up as a backup catcher for another team. He labored mostly in AAA & had a brief tenure with the big club last year. Obviously, the Sox value LHP Drake Britton more than Butler as they decide to keep the lefty on the 40-man roster, even though he is out of options. Never have enough situational lefties. Drake, Layne & Breslow will try to fill the shoes of the departed Andrew Miller. I'm still not sold that Miller has his control issues under control (so to speak) & he could be a big bust for the Yankees. So good luck to Dan Butler. We hardly knew you.
