Belichick Strikes Back

An empassioned Bill Belichick gave an impromptu press conference about the deflate gate controversy that has been surrounding his Patriots team for the past week. I must say that Belichick was like Johnny Cochran in his defense of the assertion on Thursday that neither he nor Tom Brady had anything to do with the pressure of footballs in the Colts game. Texture, atmospheric conditions, his own test of footballs in & out of a controlled environment this week, inflation by referees, his QB's testing of balls with differing pressures -- all plausible explanations of why footballs can become deflated. I must say that Belichick's speech gave me reasonable doubt if I was a juror. In addition, Belichick talked about the rigors that he puts his players through, the toughness both physically & mentally that they have shown throughout the season as reasons why they have earned a berth in this year's Super Bowl. It was a lot of praise from a coach not known for giving it. In the Q&A Belichick responded to a question about Spy Gate, saying that that was completely different & had no bearing on this incident. I must say that this is what I was looking for on Thursday, someone to step up. Bill did today. Unless the league says differently, I'm changing my vote to not guilty.
