Power Back On
Well, it was quite a storm here in New England, in particular New Hampshire. I was 1 of 200,000 people that lost power for 3 days due to the pre-Thanksgiving storm. We had to go to Plan B, like many others, in order to get a turkey dinner cooked for our guests on Thanksgiving Day. Luckily, we had a daughter whose house had power & we moved in. My nephew ended up cooking his turkey on a gas grill outside! Some friends & family roughed it out in cold homes where fingers were crossed that no pipes would burst. Walking through your house with flashlights & candles reminds you of how dependent we are on power & how we should conserve more. The outage made me think of the homeless who have no place to stay. It was terrible to throw away good food that had gone bad in the fridge & freezer. Now with power back on for most folks today we really do have something to be thankful for. More articles will be written by me on the Sox this week as things return to normal. But I'm taking Sunday off as a day of rest & to be thankful for all of my blessings. I will thoroughly enjoy having TV again & watching the Patriots. This will be a Thanksgiving not soon forgotten.
