Pats 34, Lions 9
As some commentators alluded to, not a great effort by the Detroit Lions team or coaching staff yesterday in the Patriots runaway win at Foxborough. 53 passes by Tom Brady kept the Lions defense off balance all day long. A few tough runs by LeGarrett Blount yielded 2 running TD's. And the Patriots defense, usually a weak point every year, blanketed the Detroit receivers, including Megatron, to allow only 3 field goals. Add an 80 yard punt return by Danny Amendola & a second long punt return for TD called back on a penalty by Julian Edelman that showed special teams were on their game as well. Pats dominate in all 3 phases for another great win. This sets up next week's challenge of the Pats playing in Lambreau Field against the surging Packers.
