WEEI listed all 121 free agents on their blog the other day. Here's the names of 10 notable ones that I think the Red Sox may kick the tires on. OF/DH Nelson Cruz. P Andrew Miller. P James Shields. 3B/1B Chase Headley. P Brandon McCarthy. P Jon Lester. P Francisco Liriano. P Edinson Volquez. 3B Pablo Sandoval. P Justin Masterson. Because of the glut of pitchers & outfielders in the Red Sox system the Sox may do most of their remodeling for 2015 through trades. Guys like Cole Hamels, Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardja & the big guy from the Marlins Giancarlo Stanton may be available. I expect Ben to address the starting rotation next.
