Heyward to Cards, Martin to Blue Jays

Jason Heyward gets a change of scenery as he moves from Atlanta to St. Louis in a trade for 2 pitchers. Russell Martin, reportedly being wooed by the Cubs, instead accepts a 5-year deal from the Toronto Blue Jays. Heyward was traded by the Braves to the Cards as he was in the last year of his current deal & the Braves outfield was crowded. Martin is a native of Montreal & he returns to Canada for a $52 million free agent deal. Not bad for a guy who hit .211 for the Yankees a few years ago. I like the Cards deal better. Martin may be overhyped.
