The hot stove has been lukewarm so far. Just a few signings to date. Victor Martinez re-signs with the Detroit Tigers for 4 more years. V-Mart was rumored to be in talks with Seattle, but the Mariners may now turn their attention to Hanley Ramirez. Michael Cuddyear signed a 2-year deal with the New York Mets. The Mets are trying to get into the NL East race after many years of sub-.500 performances. And AJ Burnett goes back to Pittsburgh on a 1-year deal. The sullen Burnett gets out of Philly, a team going nowhere. That's it so far.
