Rusney Shut Down With Thumb Injury

Rusney Castillo may or may not continue to get at-bats this winter, depending upon how a recent thumb injury responds to rest. Playing in the Arizona Fall League Castillo sustained a minor injury that should respond well to rest - per Ben Cherington. Assuming he recovers after a period of rest, Rusney may continue to get at-bats in Puerto Rico in November. No alarm for Red Sox fans. Just a wait & see period of a week to 10 days.
