Sox Win Wild One 9-8
You could say that your Boston Red Sox team won a come-from-behind game. You could also say that the Toronto Blue Jays lost the game twice as they let the Beantown 9 come back in the 8th & 10th innings. Mookie Betts & Xander Bogaerts were instrumental in the 8th & 10th as both set the table with leadoff hits to score the tying runs. Yoenis Cespedes sent the Fenway faithful home with a long 410 drive to CF that bounced into the stands with the bases loaded to score the winning run. Nice to see the Sox hang in there & put another nail in the Jays coffin. Toronto was favored to win the AL East last year & they finished dead last. This year they got off to a fast start & they have faded in the 2nd half to where they stand in 3rd place & out of the playoffs. Two disappointing years in a row. I guess we won't have to worry about seeing the obnoxious "Ed-wing" from Encarnacion in October. If I'm pitching, he getting a ball right into his wing the next time up. What a dope!
