Sox Win Again 4-3

All the sports talk today will be about Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski & the New England Patriots starting the 2014 season in Miami at 1 PM. I can think of a different scenario had the Red Sox been more successful in winning 1-run games earlier in the season as they have done in the last 2 nights against the Jays. 10 or 12 more wins out of the 20-something losses by 1 run would put them back in the hunt for a wild card. But such is life. You can't win every year. It was encouraging to see Clay Buchholz pitch well again & well enough to get a win. It was encouraging to see the continued improved play of Bogaerts, Betts & Middlebrooks. It was encouraging to see Mujica work out of trouble & close out the game. All eyes by Ben & company are on player evaluations that continue through game #162 of this year. You know that several players will be gone for a pitcher or two & a power bat. Competition is good. It will be a fun & busy off season.
