Last Week of Baseball About Wild Cards

The NL is pretty set. Dodgers, Cardinals, Nationals win their divisions. Giants & Pirates are the wild cards. Giants still have a small chance to overtake the Dodgers. Same for the Pirates trying to overtake the Cards. Milwaukee is out - which as you know is fine with me. The AL is a lot more interesting. Angels & Orioles win their divisions. Tigers & Royals are still battling for the AL Central crown with Detroit on top right now. The wild cards are very interesting. Detroit, Kansas City, Oakland & Seattle are vying for the final 3 playoff spots. Any one team could be in, but a bad last week of the season & any one of these 4 cities could be out. Again, my preference is for the Mariners to be the odd team out. Good news - no Yankees in the playoffs after spending a ton of money in the off season. I think you have to root for a newcomer to the playoffs like the KC Royals or Washington Nats. But I would be OK with any team other than the Dodgers winning the whole thing. You have to give the Cardinals a lot of credit for making the playoffs again this year after a slow start or World Series hangover. The Sox never got the same kind of above-average seasons out of several players from the 2013 roster. Go KC!
