Jeter Done
In a few words - Jeter, well done. Career over. He finishes in Fenway Park & goes out with a win. I admire Jeter for his hustle & his will to win. Our version of Jeter is Dustin Pedroia. He is a throw-back of sorts. It's sad to think that a guy who goes out there & wants to win & gives 100% is an oddity today. But that was Derek Jeter. Maybe he played SS a little too long. Maybe he hit at the top of the order a little too long. All in all, however, Jeter was the embodiment of the Yankees & he was treated with the respect he deserved by Joe Girardi & the Yankees brass. No Posada. No Rivera. No Jeter now. The Yankees will face an identity crisis in 2015.
