Rusney Starts Today in GCL

It's been over a year since Rusney Castillo put on a uniform & played in a real game. The new Red Sox center-fielder will get about 3 innings of work today as the Red Sox play the Yankees minor league affiliate in a Gulf Coast League playoff game. Rusney may see time in Portland & Pawtucket as well since both franchises will be in the playoffs & he can gain some valuable at-bats. Rusney's progression may be the biggest news in September as the Sox will play out the remainder of the season as an evaluation of who stays & who goes in 2015. This off-season, the old hot stove, portends to be a busy one for Ben & his staff as names like Lester, Shields, Cueto, McCarthy, Masterson surface on the pitching front & Giancarlo Stanton still looms out there as a possibility. Castillo may see additional playing time in the Arizona Fall League (I hope!) & even the Caribbean summer league. An outfield of Cespedes, Castillo, Craig (the 3 C's) along with Victorino is intriguing. Good luck, Rusney! See you in Boston soon!
