New Sox 4, Yankees 3
It's always fun to beat the Yankees & keep them from gaining ground in the AL wild card race. You know the old saying - if we're not going to win, then just don't let the stinkin' Yankees win. I would add the Dodgers to the list as well - just too many old Red Sox players in LaLaLand. Anthony Ranaudo won his 1st game as major leaguer with his parents watching from the stands. A proud moment for mom & dad. Allen Craig doubled down the LF line for his 1st hit as a Red Sox. So a very nice start for 2 newcomers to the lineup who helped contribute to a 4-3 win over New York. We should get a chance to see Yoenis Cespedes in this afternoon's tilt. The new offense with Pedroia, Ortiz, Cespedes, Napoli & Craig make up a nice 2 through 6 in the order. This will be a fun 2 months.
