KC Royals #1 in Central

Look out Detroit! The Kansas City Royals have finally overtaken the heavily favored Tigers in the AL Central for the top spot. I had the good fortune of seeing a game in Kaufmann Stadium a few years ago. Kaufmann & Arrowhead, home of the football Chiefs, share a common parking area as the stadiums are very close to each other. Many fans were tailgating before the Royals-Red Sox game. KC is a nice Midwestern town that loves barbeque. The Royals haven't been in the playoffs or won anything since 1985. It would be nice to see them edge out a big favorite like the Tigers for 1st place in the AL Central. Go Royals!
