The Baseball Show

I hadn't watched The Baseball Show in awhile, but I did last night. I found myself agreeing with all of their discussion points. 1 - Sox need to re-sign Jon Lester. 5 years & $105M to $125M should do it. 2 - The Sox are 6 games back of the 2nd wild card & they need to climb over 6 teams to get there. Odds are not in their favor of making the playoffs this year. 3 - Jake Peavy & Jonny Gomes are expendable without hurting the roster this year. If Ben can get something of value in return, like an Allen Craig from St. Louis, do it. 4 - Brock Holt deserves more praise for the season he is having. Multiple positions are not a problem. And he has solidified the leadoff spot on offense. 5 - Sign Andrew Miller to a 2-year extension before he becomes a free agent. Miller could be your closer next year if Koji goes elsewhere.
