No Offense
It's like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. Just as he's about to kick it, she moves it & he falls down. That's the story of this year's Red Sox team for their fans. Just when we think that they might be ready to make a run, they fall backwards again. Jake Arrieta was good, but good teams find a way to beat good pitchers. Sox lose to the Cubbies 2-0 on a night where Jake Peavy pitched well enough to show he has trade value. Lately, the first game of the last several series has been a losing effort for the Sox. Losing game 1 obviously makes it harder to win a 3 game series. Not a great start to a critical 10 game home stand, but there are still 9 more to go. Let's hope the Sox don't continue to be Charlie Brown.
