Nap's Homer Gives Sox 2-1 Win
Not much offense, but the Sox win another 1-run game on a towering homer that cleared the monster & everything else by Mike Napoli. Rubby pitches out of trouble, although 4 walks is way too many free bases over 7 innings. Miller & Koji close out the game. Shane Victorino returns to the lineup & Mookie goes back to Pawtucket. So far, so good in the 2nd half. It will be interesting to see if Ben can go shopping at the trade deadline & get this team a bat that can help for the future. I have to say that Jonny Gomes looked pretty silly on a couple of fly balls to left. It's a good thing that neither dropped ball came back to bite the Sox or Jonny would be wearing the dunce cap. Jon Lester goes for the sweep today. It's been a good weekend in Beantown.
