Sox Win 5-2 Behind Lackey

Winning recipe: score 3 runs in the first inning before your pitcher takes the mound. RBI hits by Mike Napoli & A.J. Pierzynski staked John Lackey to a 3-run lead & ultimate victory. Lackey was very good, especially in the 7th when he worked out of trouble. Dustin Pedroia seems to be getting the hang of hitting leadoff. He had another multi-hit game, including a solo homer in the 7th that kept the Sox lead to 3 runs. The Sox are now 19-18 & they move onto Minnesota for a series beginning on Tuesday. Maybe this is the week where the Sox take off. All other AL East rivals lost today.
