Mo Takes Pedroia Over Cano

Mariano Rivera has pitched a lot of years. He has seen a lot of players. In his book he talks about Dustin Pedroia playing hard for 9 innings & 27 outs every game. He further talks about the ability of Robinson Cano, but there was a lack of desire to be the best you could be. If Mo had to pick a 2nd baseman for 1 game, he said it would be Pedroia. That may offend some Yankee fans, but not as many as you might think now that Cano is a Mariner. Could you see it in Cano's everyday play? Some would call it effortless when he made a play. I called it too casual, like fielding a grounder was an imposition. Maybe Cano is just too cool for school. It's just interesting that the best closer ever would come out & pick a rival player, a Red Sox to boot, over a former teammate. But Mo has nothing to lose. His playing days are over. And Cano is no longer a Yankee. So live with it Yankee fans & live with it Cano (all the way to the bank).
