John Lackey pitched a gem. As impressive as his 9 strikeouts, he gave up zero walks. That's the way to make a team earn their way on base. The Sox strung together enough base hits throughout the game to score 4 times. X-man & JBJ led the way with multi-hit games. Gee, good starting pitching & timely hitting equals winning baseball. Win streak at 3 games now. Red Sox finally win a series & they win at Fenway after dropping 6 straight. Too bad Brock Holt will be the odd man out after Stephen Drew is ready to return. He has been as good a leadoff hitter as anyone that Farrell has used. You hate to tinker with a lineup that has been beating a good team. Let's see if Jake Peavy can follow Lester & Lackey tonight with a better performance than his last few.
