Drew Back

If I'm a Red Sox pitcher, I say great! J.D.'s little brother can sure pick the ball & a shortstop like that will give pitchers more confidence to pound the strike zone. Stephen Drew needs about a week of minor league games before rejoining the big team. This signing or re-signing will move Bogaerts to 3B & leave the status of Will Middlebrooks up in the air. It may start out as a platoon with Drew playing against right-hand pitching & Middlebrooks against lefties, but you know that Drew will end up with the bulk of the time. I say good move, can't hurt anything & it may give a little shot of adrenaline to an offense that can't get the big hit. Even Pedroia struck out with men of 1st & 3rd last night to kill a rally. So welcome back, Stephen Drew!
