Detroit 1, Red Sox 0

It's like a continuation of last year's ALCS. This time the Tigers come away with the win. Great pitching on both sides. Again, I thought that John Farrell should have played it safe & had JBJ bunt in the 8th with 2 runners on, even though it was a left-right matchup. JBJ strikes out & pinch-hitter AJ Pierzynski grounds into an inning-ending double play. Terrible. With runs at a premium I would have tried to take my 2 shots with runners at 2nd & 3rd, even with the bottom of the order coming up. The Red Sox have lost 3 out 4 now & face the possibility of losing another series at home. I believe that this is the type of team that we have this year -- plus or minus a few games around .500. Maybe an 85 win season while JBJ, X-man & Middlebrooks learn about everyday life in the big leagues. I'm not going to expect an 8-2 or 7-3 run. It's going to be 4-6, 5-5, 6-5. That's where we have been this year & I don't see it changing anytime soon. I'm going to adjust my expectations.
