At that point Cherington might add pieces to make a stretch run. However, if the Sox continue to play sub .500 ball through the break, I could see Ben Cherington start to trade off current assets & assemble a Red Sox team for 2015. And any current player would become available for the right price or right prospects. It will certainly get interesting over the next 6 weeks.
