Sox Hold On For 7-6 Win

A patient Red Sox offense took 8 walks in 2+ innings from Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow to get back into the game after Clay Buchholz had given up 3 runs in the 1st. A.J. Pierzynski hit the grand slam that blew the game wide open. Will Middlebrooks followed A.J.'s granny with a solo shot of his own to build a 7-3 lead. Buck settled down & pitched 6 scoreless innings. Uncharacteristically, Tazawa gave up 2 runs in the 8th & Koji gave up 1 run in the 9th as the Sox avoided a big comeback win by the Jays with the 7-6 win. Edwin Encarnacion hit a bullet to center with 2 men on that was snagged by JBJ for the final out. We'll take the win & another series road win. Jon Lester faces R.A. Dickey in this afternoon's finale for the series sweep.
