Slow Start Bothersome

My brother says to me yesterday that he is bothered by the Red Sox slow start. He thinks that the off-season & light spring training by starters, including injuries to Middlebrooks & Victorino, is a sign that the Sox were not in shape & serious about this season. He also thinks that the Sox got more than their fair share of breaks last year as things miraculously unfolded into a championship season. I say right, right & right. But I also told him "what's your point?" We have lived through the most productive 10 years in Red Sox history since the early 1900's. I am OK with giving the Sox a mulligan for the next 10 years if need be. I had to remind him that we Red Sox fans have only 1 goal each & every year - any team but the Yankees. As long as the Yankees don't win a championship, everything is liveable. I also mentioned that it's still early & every team in the AL East is still in the race as no one team is making an early run like Milwaukee. Hang in there Sox fans! We can still turn things around.
