Name to Watch - Mookie Betts

Good article on Mookie Betts by Alex Speier of WEEI. At 5'9" 155 pounds Betts is a second-baseman by trade who may get time in the outfield - since Pedroia seems to have 2B covered for the next several years. He is hitting .500+ for Double A Portland, stolen several bags & he is the 6th youngest player in Double A at 21 years old. The Red Sox drafted this kid out of John Overton HS in Brentwood, TN in the 5th round of the 2011 draft. He is listed on different blogs as the #3 prospect for the Sox behind Henry Owens & Garin Cecchini. I saw Betts play in the Arizona Fall League & he seems to "get it" like JBJ & Xander Bogaerts - a baseball IQ smarter than his age. Keep these young kids comin', Ben!
