Middlebrooks Making A Difference

It's a short sample size, just 2 games. But Will Middlebrooks is making a difference. He brings stability to 3B, a position that has seen 3 different replacements in the 3 weeks he was out on the DL. The Sox have not committed an error in the field since his comeback. And he has energized the bottom 3rd of the lineup with 2 hits on Friday & a homer yesterday. Stats can't tell you the comfort level that Bogaerts has playing next to Middlebrooks versus other guys. Same with Victorino in the outfield. And Farrell has been able to use a set lineup offensively with Pedroia, Victorino, Ortiz & Napoli at the top. With Middlebrooks & Victorino back we are starting to see more consistency on a daily basis on offense & defense. And consistency is the mark of a good team.
