Boston Marathon

If you haven't had a chance, watch the E:60 program on ESPN about the Boston Marathon bombings of a year ago. It is narrated by Ben Affleck & Tom Brady. It shows the recoveries of several individuals & the long, long way they still have to go. Have a hanky nearby as it is a real tear-jerker. The one-year anniversary of the bombings was last week & the race will be run again on Monday, Patriots Day. A Boston native may become the first female runner from the US to win this race. That would be great! However, this is more than a race. It's Boston's way of giving the finger to terrorists & terrorism. I give all the runners & all the fans attending the race a lot of credit for continuing to lead their lives without fear. We can never let fear win. And Boston will show the world just that on Monday.
