Bad Karma Continues

Winter weather. Throwing error by Bogaerts. Carp can't come up with the 1-hop throw. Napoli hurts his finger sliding into 2B. Pedroia out of the lineup. Koji out. Middlebrooks & Victorino still on DL. Red Sox lose to White Sox 2-1 in what might be called a "winter" league game due to bitter cold. Detroit had their game snowed oput earlier in the day. Only bright spots were the pitching of Jake Peavy, a homer by Daniel Nava & a thrown out runner by A.J. Pierzynski. A hundred years ago when I was playing in a regional tournament the league director took us players aside & said it easy to win when you've been winning, but it's darn hard to get out of a losing streak. It seems that everything goes against you. And it usually takes a total team effort to overcome it. I have confidence that the Sox will overcome this 4 out of 5 losing streak. I hope it starts tonight.
