Webster Better Against Marlins

WEEI says Allen Webster had some extra coaching this week, from fellow starters Lester, Lackey & Buccholz. The result was 3 scoreless innings against the Marlins yesterday. Webster has all the right stuff. It's just been his command that gets him in trouble. Webster & Brandon Workman are 2 guys that could easily slip into the starting rotation if Lester or Lackey need 2 or 3 starts off in the middle of the season, or if injury occurs. Getting Webster into big league readiness will only serve to further strengthen the depth on this team. Once Webster "gets it" he should be good for a long time. Maybe this is his turnaround year.

That is a sign of hope, but let's not get too carried away. It was THE MARLINS!
