Has Grady Won the Job?

Concensus would be yes. Grady Sizemore should be patrolling CF on Monday in Baltimore - with the usual caveat said throughout all of March - as long as he is healthy. Thus far Sizemore has shown no signs of wear & tear. And who wouldn't want a former all-star & leadoff man in their lineup? Jackie Bradley, Jr. will have his time, probably many years ahead of him, as the everyday CF for the Red Sox. More triple-A at bats can only help Bradley to contribute more on offense in the future. JBJ already has the defensive skills to play CF in any major league park. But, getting back to Sizemore, I had a chance to see him play with the Indians before he was hampered by all of his injuries. Grady reminded me of a young Johnny Damon with speed & occasional power, along with being a threat on the bases. You have to admire Grady's determination to play again. He has to be the "feel good" story of this year's Red Sox spring training.
