Anthony Rizzo

Remember Anthony Rizzo? He went to the Padres as a piece of the Sox trade to get Adrian Gonzalez. Rizzo is 24 years old now & he is the everyday 1B for the Chicago Cubs. Theo jumped on the chance to get Rizzo away from the Padres & then signed him to a long-term deal. In 160 games last year Rizzo produced 23 HR & 80 RBI with an OPS of .742. Not bad for a 24 year old kid! I wish we could have kept him, but we went through Gonzalez to get Napoli & things have worked out just fine. I mention Rizzo because I'm getting a chance to see him play today as the Cubs take on the Indians. I always liked his swing & now he gets a chance to play everyday. Win-win for all parties.
