Managers Get to Use Red Flag
OK. Expanded replay is making its way into baseball this year. It ought to be interesting to see baseball managers throwing their red flag from the dugout. Maybe Farrell should contact Belichick! If it doesn't add too much time to a game & a call gets made right, I think it's worth it. Baseball is the last of the major sports to implement more replay, now on safe/out & fair/foul calls to go along with home run calls. I'm looking forward to see if it becomes overused or it's a positive. I think back to the World Series play where the shortstop for the Cardinals dropped the ball on a force at 2nd & the umpires huddled to reverse their original out call. That hardly ever happened in the past. I hope that expanded replay helps umps gets more calls right.
