Where's the Market for Cano?

$30 million a year for 10 years? I don't think so. Jay-Z's new client, Robinson Cano, is on the outside looking for a new home next year. Scot Boras beat Jay-Z to the punch by getting the Yankees to open their bank account for Jacoby Ellsbury first. This after the Yankees deal for Brian McCann that could be worth $100 million. Cano faces the possibility of playing for the lowly Mariners or lowly Mets. Quite a drop from the pinstripes! While New York fans are not totally on board with the deal for Ells they certainly don't want to lose Cano. But there is only so much money in the Bronx checkbook. Jay-Z & Cano will eat crow now as they try to sign a lesser deal with the Yankees or somewhere else. My personal opinion is that I don't like the nonchalant way that Cano plays. No dirty uniform. Toothpick in mouth at times. He does have talent, just not my kind of player. If Cano does stay with the Yankees for a lesser contract & lesser duration, expect him to be unhappy. Cano will fit right in with A-Roid!
