"The Beard" Officially Back

It's official. Mike Napoli passed his physical & he is now a member of the Red Sox for the next 2 seasons. All's well than end's well since Nap earns an extra $6 million from his original 3-year deal. His first deal with the Sox of $39 mil was cut short when a hip injury surfaced. But after showing no signs of wear & tear in 2013 Napoli get the extra 2 years back with a $6 mil advantage. Good for him. Good for the Sox. I will never forget his homer off Justin Verlander in game 3 of the ALCS in support of John Lackey's 1-0 victory. That homer changed the entire series. Nap is a fan favorite already as he turned down longer deals & more money to stay in Boston. How does that Dirty Water song go? "Boston you're my home!"
