Sox Trade Morales for Utility Man

Franklin Morales had a few good moments in a Red Sox uniform. However, his time has now past & Morales returns to the Colorado Rockies in exchange for utility man Jonathan Herrara. Herrara is 29, makes less than $500,000 & can play all 3 infield positions. A switch hitter, Herrara has averaged .265 at the plate over 4+ seasons in the big leagues. A good, low-cost acquisition for 2 years for Ben until Herrara becomes a free agent. This gives prospects Cecchini & Betts more time to mature in the minors. It also may signal the end of a courtship with Scot Boras over the possibility of bringing back Stephen Drew. Hey Scot, go ahead & sign one of those several other deals you have for Drew.
