Herrara is 29, makes less than $500,000 & can play all 3 infield positions. A switch hitter, Herrara has averaged .265 at the plate over 4+ seasons in the big leagues. A good, low-cost acquisition for 2 years for Ben until Herrara becomes a free agent. This gives prospects Cecchini & Betts more time to mature in the minors.
