Sox Signings To Date

A.J. Pierzinski. Brad Badenhop. Edward Mujica. Jonathan Herrara. Mike Napoli. Ben has signed the guys that he needed to. Starting the season with the team as composed now would be OK. Projected lineup is Victorino RF, Pedroia 2B, Ortiz DH, Napoli 1B, Nava/Gomes LF, Bogaerts SS, Pierzinski C, Middlebrooks 3B, Bradley CF. Plenty of starting pitchers, in fact too many. Bullpen starting backwards is Uehara, Tazawa, Breslow, Mujica, Workman, Miller & Badenhop. On the bench is Herrara, Ross, Gomes/Nava, Carp. Not a bad club to start the season. And think of the top prospects perculating through Portland & Pawtucket. At the trading deadline the Sox can evaluate if they need a more veteran presence to backup Bradley & Bogaerts or any other position. Every deal doesn't have to be made before spring training.
