Sox Have Today to Sign Unsigned Players

The Red Sox website says the Sox have until midnight Monday to offer contracts to unsigned players. They are pitchers Andrew Bailey, Junichi Tazawa, Andrew Miller, Franklin Morales, Burke Badenhop & OF/1B Mike Carp. You know Tazawa & Carp will be signed. Miller is affordable & he was effective before breaking his ankle. Morales has the ability to start or relieve, but his control is always a question mark. Badenhop just got picked up from the Brewers, so logic tells you that Ben will sign him. Of this group I think Andrew Bailey & Franklin Morales are question marks. Bailey has a history of injuries & he has been injured in both years with the Red Sox, making over $4 million in limited duty last year. Morales has flexibility in the way Farrell can use him, but his lack of command makes his effectiveness erratic. Maybe everyone gets resigned - the devil you know kind of thing, but Bailey & Morales are my 2 picks for bubble guys.
