Renaudo, Brentz, Cecchini Added to 40 Man

The Red Sox protected 3 of their best prospects from being acquired by another team in the Rule 5 draft by adding all 3 to their 40-man roster. Anthony Renaudo, Bryce Brentz & Garin Cecchini are now officially part of the big league club. Good move. Renaudo pitched in the futures game last year & is getting ready to challenge for a spot in the starting rotation. Brentz is a scarce commodity for the Sox, a blossoming power hitter. And Cecchini is the next infielder to challenge Will Middlebrooks for his job. You can expect to see all 3 prospects at different times with the big club as injuries occur & rest is needed for the starters. Good call, Ben.
