Minor Deal - Burke Badenhop

Burke Badenhop, 30, a relief pitcher from Milwaukee comes to the Red Sox in exchange for a prospect. Sox get the ground ball pitcher for a year until he hits free agency after the 2014 season. A righty specialist, Badenhop held righties to a .229 batting average while lefties hit him at a .338 clip. He has played for the Rays, Marlins & Brewers. Ben can never have enough bullpen pieces, especially a guy who is motivated to have a good year as he nears free agency. Could be a sleeper that works out.
