McCann Goes to Yankees

The Yankees opened their checkbook to welcome Brian McCann to Gotham. 5 years, $85 million with an option for a 6th year makes McCann the latest $100 million player. We knew McCann would be too expensive & too long in contract years for the Red Sox. Maybe now the Sox resign Saltie & overpay for 2 years while young catchers Vazquez & Swihart mature a little longer. The Sox also have the option of doing nothing & going with Lavarnway/Ross for next year. McCann did not fit the parameters of Ben in Boston.
