Jason Vargas to KC

This signing will go under the radar as no big deal. Jason Vargas, a left-handed pitcher traded last year from Seattle to Anaheim, goes to the KC Royals for 4 years & $32 million. Vargas was on my radar last year as someone the Sox should look into. As it turns out, Vargas made only 24 starts for the Angels due to the removal of a blood clot. But healthy now, he could be a steal for the Royals at only $8 million per year where mediocre starting pitching in the big league averages $12-$15 million per year. I'm interested to see how this signing turns out for a young Royals team ready to contend with the big boys in Detroit.
