Jacoby Ellsbury

It's too bad that a team like Seattle or Texas will offer Ells lots of money over 5 or more years to play for them. Jake has been an exciting player on the field & perhaps just as exciting off the field. Like Jon Papelbon, sometimes it's just time to move on. Ells was part of 2 World Series teams here in Boston in '07 & '13. But just as the Patriots plug in new talent when a starter goes down, Jackie Bradley Jr. will get his shot in 2014 to join an outfield with veterans Victorino, Nava, Gomes & Carp. Ells is a game-changer when he is in the lineup. We will miss him. But whichever team gets him has to bank on good health for their long-term investment. I would take out an insurance policy based upon his past injuries.
